When should I hear peeping?

I am on day 19 of incubating 16 of my own EE eggs. I have read multiple other posts that members could hear their eggs "peeping". Is it a bad sign that I am hearing nothing from the incubator at this stage? It is my first time with incubating and I am extremely nervous...and excited.

I am hearing peeps and this is the day the are sopased to hatch!!

sooo excited for my chicks to hatch when do yours hatch?

Congrats on your hatching OMLET! Tuesday will be day 21 for my eggs. I put them in lock down yesterday, and everything looked good (from what I could tell). How soon did you start hearing noise from your eggs?

I'm on day 22 and I hear no peeping, but when I look at my eggs I can see them move real subtle ,so I guess they are still alive. It's driving me nuts constantly watching and waiting. I am so nervous they won't make it.

I know how you feel marymac, I can take my eyes off the incubator. I have been able to manage keeping my hands off it. I keep thinking I am seeing a few eggs wiggle, but then I am not sure it isn't my eyes just playing tricks on me

I've just gone into LockDown too!

Totally hear ya with the pacing past the incubator and checking it every so often... I thought I was insane! Or at least alone! LOL!

i had a broody hen sitting on 6 eggs, i heard peeping on day 20, 2 hatched that night and 2 hatched the next day which was day 20. the 2 that didn't hatch were cracked open and thankfully, there was nothing developed.

For both of my hatches I heard peeping the night before they started to hatch. And by this I don't mean that it was really quiet peeping that I had to struggle to hear. It was LOUD

as if they were already out of the eggs. Good luck on your hatches, everyone!!!!

I now have 2 external pips

I went from no sound or movement to 2 external pips!! I guess I should quit worrying about every little detail.
