When should I help duckling out of egg?

Hi,
We´re hatching our first batch of eggs. We´re on day 31!! and one duckling pipped on the 29th and hatched on the 30 day. One pipped from the wrong end early on the 30th day. Beak is showing it slightly moves if you touch it but no noise or movements. Do we help it and if so how?? Or do we leave it for longer to see what happens? Thanks Anna

Yes help it. Welcome to the forum!
Just slowly pick away the shell with your fingernail and make sure not to .break the cord or any veins or else he'll bleed to death.
Just be careful and go SLOWLY. After being in the shell so long he probably has dried out some so it should be easier.
But still be very careful.
