When should Mama move away?

Hi, my lazy friend! I'd love to do more chicks this year, but it depends on how healthy the older crew remain. As they die off, it makes space for new chicks. That, and getting new chicks is how I resolve my sorrow at losing my old favorites.

I can't let a season go by without hatching chicks, even if the existing crew are hale and hardy. I do have a few gals who are not up to standard, productivity wise, plan to hatch from the 2 y.o. gals who gave me such nice sex link and auto sexed chicks last year, then will hatch from the younger group, which should NOT be auto sexing. It will be interesting to see what F2 yields. Definitely need to move some of them out!
