When should she start?

So I have a beautiful Golden Wyandotte hen and she's about four months old. I got her in late march and was told she would start laying in august-october, but its august and she's not laying. My dad knows a chicken expert and he checked Sephora, the hen, to make sure she was a hen. (Long story short, we had a rooster we thought he was a hen, and we gave him away.) Does anyone think she might have a later egging date?

August- October means she can lay from August to October. It’s not even the end of August and she still had September and October to lay!

Yes, I agree! I think that we will need some pictures, It will surely help... I've had chickens not lay until 8 months old before, mostly because they were smaller breeds but for other reasons as well!
Just be patient and give her the time she needs to lay an egg!

Don't worry about it, sometimes I have problems with pictures too, I use an apple device.
You should be able to tell yourself pretty simple at this age. The two in front are hens, while the one in back is a rooster.
