Yes, give chick crumbles and water in a chick safe waterer with marbles or small rocks in it. Dip their beaks in water.

Any time, but don't let it go another day. They will be okay for a couple of days since they will live off the yolk sac they absorbed into their abdomen just before hatching. Nevertheless, go ahead and get them started on a good quality starter feed and clean water. Dip their beaks in the water for a second so they know what and where it is. Make sure the brooder is neither too hot nor too cold. The warmest part of the brooder should be about 95 degrees for the first week, then reduced by 5 degrees per week thereafter. They should have plenty of room to move away from the warmest part if they desire. Food, drink and the right amount of heat and you'll be rockin' and rollin'.

Have fun!

I usually put a feeder and waterer in from the time they hatch. They will peck at it at first but usually by day 2 they start eating. Don't get panicked if they wait until day 3 to start eating, they will get it on their own time. I found that dunking their beaks in the water when you first put them in the brooder helps.

Spread some starter on the "floor" too, then tap it like a hen would, with your finger. That will encourage them to eat, like the beak dipping encourages them to drink.
