Mine started laying at 16-17 weeks so I wouldn't wait much beyond 14. Also I don't know what is up with my chickens but they haven't even thought of letting up. The 5 chickens have layed 4-5 eggs a day for several months. I thought people talked about 5/wk for a chicken.
