I am confused by when to butcher our Rouen. She is about 6-8weeks, has all her 'hard' feathers, and her flight feathers are almost to her tail. A book I have been reading says she is ready, but she seems very small to me. First time with ducks/chicks, and we are culling the roos from our chicken flock in July. Am I making it hard on myself in terms of plucking by waiting until then and doing them all at once? As I said...very confused. Thanks in advance for your help and info.
