When to buy eggs/chicks?

I probably sound like a total noob (which i am)

, but when is a good time to buy chicks? I live in Ohio & it usually gets cold from Oct-beginning of April... And where on earth should I buy them at? Help!

I am in Michigan and have eggs in the incubator now. You can buy eggs on ebay or even through this website. Trader Joes and Whole Foods sell fertilized eggs as well.

So at what age can the chicks go to their coops? Im afraid of them dying off in the winter cuz of the cold. I mean i know you have to keep them warm for sometime when their tiny things.
