When to call it quits??

This is my first time hatching and I still have 4 turkey eggs on day 32. I've read that they typically take 28 days to hatch. I had one hatch sucessfully on day 28 and one started to zip but then nothing. I don't want them to explode and create a mess/stink but I don't want to give up too soon. How long do you usually wait before ending the hatch?

I just had to take my last two eggs out on day 24. I REALLY wanted these two to hatch (of course), but for some reason they never pipped. I waited until it was dark enough to candle, took them in my humid bathroom & candled. I do not have the guts to crack them open. I then candled a cochin egg that I thought had a couple of days til lock down & it peeped at me!


I wish you luck with your turkey eggs. I'm sure you will get more advice soon.
