I have 35 coturnix quail eggs in the bator and today is day 6. I candled 2 yesterday and found 1 clear and 1 with veins and a pencil tip sized red blob near the top. When can I candle them to see movement? When should I go through them to eliminate the duds?

Since coturnix eggs are kind of hard to see into, I wait until day 14 to candle, which is usually when I stop turning them. I incubate in a cabinet incubator, then move them to the hatcher, so I usually candle them then. As you probably noticed, it's really easy to tell which ones didn't develop. Any that are not totally clear I just leave in, just in case.

And your eggs are going out Monday, so you'll be doing that in about 3 weeks! LOL!
