If I were you, I would either take the walls and rafters away as roosting options. Or close in a section of the walls or roof so they can choose a sheltered roost that is as high as they can get to roost. I missed how many chickens you have - the sectioned off option wouldn't work well if the coop is at maximum capacity.
You take away the walls and rafters by fencing them off so the chickens can't physically get to them. Another option might be to stand zip ties vertically on them, close enough together that the chickens don't try. I haven't tried the zip tie option; it might be a much worse option than fencing. I got the idea from - pth, couldn't find it - it was a guy in australia who build a trigger feeder out of a 55 gallon plastic barrel and glued the zip ties on top to keep his chickens off it.
