So,yes hens and roosters are good friends and pets but there comes the time when they just have to say goodbye to the world and get eaten.Hens get eaten when they stop laying eggs but how about roosters?When is it time for them to R.I.P?They reproduce through they entire life(atleast i think so)And so i cant figure out when to do the s word to them(slaughter)Should it be after theyre first round of chicks?After a fixed amount of time?How do you number theyre days?How should i?Any ideas?

Please help.

If you like the boy, you keep him till he dies on his own. If you don't want him for breeding, he gets an assisted suicide when he's big enough to eat, like around 20 weeks for most breeds.

It depends entirely upon what you want the rooster for. If he's not human aggressive, and you want chicks, and you like him, keep him. If another one comes along that you like better, eat the first one, keep the second one. If you don't like him, don't want chicks and are wondering why you're feeding him, then it's time to butcher. For roosters especially, it's more a matter of personal choice than productivity. At least that's my opinion.

I have come up with my breeding and slaughtering formula:

H=hen
R=rooster
C=chick
S=slaughter
BG=bad genes
GG=good genes
NMG=no more eggs

H+R=C's=BG+GG
Explanation:Hen and rooster,you get chicks,chicks and you get Good chicks which are good quality and other which are bad quality,

BG=S
Explanation:Bad quality chicks get slaughterd as soons as its big enough to eat to stop it from continuing undesirable features

H+NMG=S
Explantion:A hen that stops laying eggs get slaughtered

This is a perfect foolproof plan
