When to expect laying after they start squatting?

This is exactly what I was looking for. ... Thanks! My EE is 1yr now and just started squatting yesterday. .. I'm getting excited.

I would NOT put a heater in there for them. Just make to block the sides so that no wind chills them. Plenty of ventilation as you know. Please read the "reasons" for not putting a heater in the coop. There is plenty of information out there about the "WHY" not to put heat so I won't get into that. Only baby chicks needs heat and then gradually tapered off as they get older and are feathered out. I also am waiting for my hens to lay. I had my first one squat today. I am so excited. I actually came on to this site to do a little reseach and you asked my questions exactly to I am going to just ride your tailcoat for answers. Enjoy your girls and Merry Christmas.
