Do I need to put suppliments in the water when I get my order from MPC next week? This is my first time getting chicks in the mail. My first chicks came from a feed store back in Feb 09. They had been given electrolights in their water for one day at the feed store.

When I got them the day after shipping, I didn't suppliment the water because I figured they didn't need it.

They are great! We had a pasty for about 3 days, but I fixed her right up. She's just fine now. THey all have those adorable little baby tails, and have been for their first day outside.

OK, here are my 26. Boxed upon bringing them home.....and right at opening the box. They were seperated into 2 parts. No grow gell or warmer included but seemed not to be a problem due to the short shipment..
They are all appearing strong and each one is eating drinking right from the get go. I am sure some were hatched over the weekend and I have peeps 1-3 days old here as some already are beginning wing feathers and are bigger than some tiny fluzzy butts.. Not a problem as it only took 24 hours to get here and I am sure they take that into consideration cause all the "weekend hatchlings" gotta go someplace close by to survive! I am very pleased.:<))

Now to choose the few I can keep & let the rest go.:<( Not really that hard as I have some wonderful homes waiting for them. Just so HARD to choose! LOL

In the 3rd picture, the two chicks towards the top - the yellow one and grey multi sure are big fat fluffy butts.

yes! They are all Easter Eggers planning on laying blue/green eggs.:<)​

They sure are cute!! Mine were suppose to ship yesterday (I got the rainbow pack). I called this afternoon to ask the post office if they had arrived yet and the lady was kind of rude to me about it. She said "We only call first thing in the morning and only if your number is on the box" She didn't really let me say anything else. UHHH!!! The waiting is driving me crazy!! I don't want them to be in a cold post office.

I kinda wish I would have ordered all EE's instead of the Rainbow Special.

I wanted EE's, but these are technically for my dad, and he wanted barred rocks. So I compromised, I figured I'd get a few EE's in the rainbow pack, so we'll see what I get! One person got a couple of polish in her rainbow layers, that would be so cool!
