Hey there I currently have 4 blue plymouth rock chickens...they are sitting at 21 weeks old today and i still have no eggs. This is my first time raising hens and My question is since they are over 20 weeks do I switch to layer pellets anyways and take them off the grower feed or do I feed grower until I physically get an egg?

I will probably consider picking up some all flock here. I have a couple 3 to 6 week old pullets that will eventually be added into the flock. Thank you!
No problem 😊 the extra calcium can be dangerous to non laying or male chickens in the long run. Plus layer feed only has the bare minimum nutritional requirements, e.i layer feed usually only has 15%, 16%, or 17% percent protein whereas flock raiser or all flock have 20%. You also don't have to add extra protein when they molt because it's already in their ( I do via high protein treats but it's not necessary). Enjoy your flock, glad I could help 😉 😀
