So I have a flock of 6 chickens (Buff Sussex) that i have raised from chicks.
The first batch of 4 chicks (3 roosters, 1 hen) hatched are now around 16 weeks old and the second batch of 2 chicks (both hens) hatched are around 12 weeks old.

The flock now has 3 roosters and 3 hens which are easily identifiable. The question i have is when do i get rid of the 2 roosters ?

So far they have not started fighting, although i have noticed they do run toward each other at various times during the day, flare up their neck feathers and engage in a sort of stare down which lasts for a couple of seconds before backing off.

The good thing is that you raised them together. I had 6 roosters to 14 hens at one point. There were some scuffles here and there but they established their own pecking order before they could cause serious injury. I ended up rehoming 2 but several months after they reached mating age. Your 3 to 3 ratio is a little more severe, so in the next month or two the fighting might get worse.
1 roo to 8-10 hens is typical, but that’s not concrete. All flocks are different, you may find that you only need to regime one of them.
do your chicken free range at all?

Rehome not reg

Thanks. I am not sure when the hens will start laying, although, they are all from the same breed, Buff Sussex.
