hello, I am very new at chickens so I was hoping someone could help with my situation. I got 3 isa brown chicks mid March, then beginning of May I came across some Easter egger chicks so of course I had to get two. I'm pretty sure one of the Easter eggers is a rooster since the last few days we've heard it crowing. My town does not allow roosters, so I know he must go, but my question is do I introduce them both to the Isa Browns then when everyone is ok get rid of the roo? Or get rid of the roo and just introduce the pullet? I do put the Easter eggers in a baby gate everyday when the isa Browns free range, so everyone has at least seen each other. I'm so nervous about this introduction!

It is a little more difficult to introduce a single bird to the flock, so maybe you would be better off introducing the two of them then get rid of the rooster once things settle down. It would probably shake up the pecking order all over again, but my guess is that it would be less stressful than trying to add a single bird.
