Hewo! I have a broody bantam who has been sitting on two fertile bantam eggs for 5 days. She's only a year old and her first time broody. My question is, I put the eggs under her at 2 weeks of broodiness. Will she sit on them to term (21-ish days) or should I have a plan B ready in case her broodiness breaks? What has been your experience?

It seems I also have a second hen who is going broody. She's standard sized. If my bantam decides to break, can I place these under her to finish?

No guarantee when it comes to animals, but you bantam should continue to sit until hatch. Yes another broody would work as a backup as long as she doesn't have eggs that will hatch at a different time.

Perfect. I've been looking for this answer cuz I figured it was just hormonal and she'd set until hatch, but it's so hard to Google that question. :yesss: Thank you!!
