When to go from chick starter to chicken feed?

At what age do chicks go from starter to feed? I have 2 chicks that are 4-weeks old and my small supply of starter I picked up is starting to run out :/

You can leave them on Starter until the pullets lay their first egg. That's the simple explanation.

You could switch them at 8 weeks to an All Flock or Flock Raiser type feed or switch them to a Grower feed, but it isn't necessary, really, just an option.

Just remember that Layer is for Laying hens only. It's very high in calcium and only a hen in lay can safely make use of that much calcium.
