When to let mama hen and chicklets out of safety zone?

Hello!

I have a hen with two chicks hatched Saturday/Sunday (3-4 days old) and I’ve moved them into our old brooder box so the rest of the flock can check them out. We have 13 hens and 2 Roos. One of the hens invaded the nest and sat with her for nearly the full 21 days, when the first egg was pipping, she viciously pecked at it, so I removed her and she’s been a bit anxious, but seems to be settling down and getting back with the rest of the flock.

Anyhow, mama hen seems like she wants to get out of the small space, but I’m wary of the littles. The box they’re in now is about 12 sq ft. I can section off a place in the coop for them to get out, but the bigs could fly over the top (7’ high open rafters where they roost) so I am reluctant to do that when I can’t supervise as much due to life pulling me away from the house for several hours over the next days)

TLDR: What age can chicks with mama hen go out with the flock? I prefer to let her do her thing.

I like to leave babies segregated with momma for 2-3 days after she comes off the nest. Then I do a few more days to a week letting them out into the run when the rest of the flock is free ranging. Usually by 2 weeks old they come out to free range with the flock for short spurts but generally hang close to the run. (I supervise for violence, but the roosters help here also)

2 of my broodys with chicks are currently under the poop boards. Nest boxes have since been removed to give more space. 3rd broody sitting on eggs still is under the nest boxes (wire cage setup)
