When to lockdown when age unknown?

I just checked it a minute ago and when I looked in, it poked at the hole again, just once tho and stopped. I probably won't be able to sleep. Fortunately, the incubator is in my walk in closet in my bedroom (only good place thats quiet and doesn't have vent drafts) so it's nice and close. I guess if I hear some loud chirping, I'll know its out lol.

Well, it zipped

... and then it hatched!!

I took video of it hatching, I'll post it later. Now my question is, how long does it take to detach from it's umbillical cord?

Usually it will hatch already detached, but sometimes when they have a rough time for whatever reason (like getting chilled while abandoned, for instance), it will stay attached. You can take some sharp, sanitized scissors and cut it off close to the belly. It will detach on its own eventually, but just be careful and watch that it doesn't get tangled and cause the little one trouble.

Congrats!! So exciting!
