They made it thru the night but I was a wreck. They were still cuddling this AM when I went to let the other girls and the duck out so I think they have calmed down. Hopefully tonight will run smoother. I think the neighbors must think I am insane as often as I **pretend** to walk to the laundry room and back.

This is why I love my ecoglow brooders. They don't have a light, just contact warmth that the chicks huddle under like under a mama chicken from day 1. They are not used to light at night, and therefore don't mind being in a dark coop.

agree, I love the ecoglow too!

my chicks always cry a little when the lights go out at night, it's normal. then they start chattering loving sounds and snuggling together
