We have 4 chicks that hatched yesterday and they're still with the hen. They're in a laying box now but there's a rooster and 7 other hens in the barn stall as well. We let them out during the day so she's been fine so far but now that they've hatched, we want to move her to her own coop. She's only been setting for 20 days and there are still more eggs under her but we don't know if they're fertile or not. She's not friendly so we don't want to check the eggs. Any suggestions on when we should move them and discard the eggs. We know the babies can go 2 days without eating so that would be tomorrow. I put a scoop of food out for them and the hen raked a little off for them but I can't get the water in there for them. Just want to make sure we give the others enough time to hatch.
Any suggestions are much appreciated. You guys have helped me out a lot in the past!
