I have just moved my Buff's (15 of them) to the chicken coupe 2 weeks ago. They were 5 weeks old so we provided brooding lamps to keep the coupe warm on one side but left the other side without a lamp so if they got too hot they could cool down. My question is: I still have 5 bantam chicks inside that will be 4 weeks old on Wednesday, are they old enough to move to the coupe as long as I keep the coupe warm? I do have a very large run attached to the coupe but because the wind has been so bad lately it has been closed for the most part, and my chickens are young and I didn't want them to get too cold. My coupe is 8 ft tall, and 12x6, with a run of 24 x 12.
Thank you

It depends on where you live. It's been in the 60's and 70's in our area. Are your bantams all feathered out? Be careful with your heating lamp.
I would hate for you to have a fire.

They are not completely feathered yet. They are very close but not completely. Thanks for the warning. I will make sure to double check my lamps.
