Hello everyone! I have 5 week old chickens and they are almost to big for their night time brooder. At what age is it okay to move them to the coop? If it's okay to move them now they will still have access to a heat lamp. My coops interior is 8x5, is this to big? Thanks!!

I put my Chicks in the coop at 5 weeks.
My first Flock were early spring chicks and it got down to the 30s F a couple of nights. I securely mounted a heat lamp.
If your temps will stay above 50F and they have already been weaned off the heat, they should be OK.
Your chicks probably won't roost unless you had something for them in the brooder.
Put down a thick layer of bedding and they'll cuddle if they get cold.

As long as the coop is secure, it's fine.
Put them in the coop in the morning, so they get accustomed to the extra space. GC
