when to put chicks outside

My chicks are 5 weeks old. They have many feathers and have been living in my basement. I would like to put their brooder in my garage until the coop is finished. The temps during the day here have been in the 80's and the temps at night have been in the 60's. I will still have their heat lamp on them. Do you think it is ok to put them in the garage? Their brooder is a large box with wood shavings.

Mine stay in an unheated basement and do fine.
