When to put Cornish X outside?

nothing is wrong with keeping chicks in a bathtub... i have done it in the dead of winter cause i could not keep them out side it was WAY to cold. They stayed in for like 3 weeks and yes it smells bad but i get used to cleaning up after chicks lol.
