when to raise height of ecoglow brooder?

How do you know when to adjust the height of the ecoglow? I've got a batch of chicken chicks under it.

When the chicks can no longer get under it without belly-crawling.

I have mine set with one side higher than the other so they can move to either side as necessary.

I'm going to do that today too. I've been keeping mine low because I added 2 chicks a week later to the brooder and I wanted them to be warm enough. Now they are a week old, and the older ones are 2 weeks old - so I need to adjust it now.
