He's been in all morning, he's been drinking, eating and pooping but his little behind is still irritated and pink. When I first took back after he'd dried, they picked at his butt, even his momma and I immediately removed, so how long should I keep him in? He's 6 days old and the hen has had them out since friday morning even with it being chilly. He's in the house in a box with a towel that he likes to hide in, he's only quiet a little, plus I have a towel over the top with it pulled back on one side. Do I need to rig up some type of light or will he be warm enough?
Thanks!
Of course, he's the only one I named when he hatched because he's a yellow chick and the rest are black!
