When to separate cockrell from pullet

:welcome The easy answer is before the pullets start laying. Fertile eggs are no different for eating than non fertile. They will not develop into chicks unless incubated. Daily collection solves that situation.
 
You may need to separate him though, due to behavior. Cockerels can be hard on pullets. They tend to be bigger, and become interested sexually, long before pullets are ready. Do have a plan B set up, so that you can separate him if needed.
