I was wondering when most people separate there chickens for show? do you keep them together in the spring time for breeding then separate them for so long before showing or keep them together the whole time? or do you keep separate all the time? Thanks

that is partially based on the breed, size, and purpose and age of the birds. For young Large fowl thet can run together in a large grow out or fly pen until around 4-5 months of age then seperate by sex, and begin selections. For the "Show" Pullet and cockrell you will want to seperate and house individually to protect feather condition.
if teh bird is used for breeding and is intended to show later in teh year you may want to AI and maintain speerate housing to keep feather quality. Everyone does things differently and it is based on teh breed and teh bird as well.
