Hi,

I set my eggs in the middle of the day on a Saturday. Lockdown is this week, but I'll be working during the day. Is it better to go into lockdown and up the humidity in the morning or evening after work? Or does it not matter either way?

This is my first hatch! I candled a few days ago and was showing my partner the moving chicks. He thought incubating eggs was crazy cause we already have 13 chickens. After watching the candling he said "and we can do this every 21 days!!!". I swear he likes the chickens even more than me!

I would just wait till after work.

Good luck and do post pics of your new babies!

i'm guessing it was in the pm correct? which would make lock down the 22nd (day 18) you can wait till day 19 and put them in lockdown before you go to work on the 23rd...some dont go into lockdown until they see a pip

I've successfully put eggs into lockdown on day 17, and even on day 19. That should give you a large enough window..exact time is not an issue...as long as it's reasonable enough to allow them time to sit and get into position :)
