I have 2 week old Polish chicks still in the brooder. I know alot of people talk about debugging, preventing, worming, coop debugging... When and what do you use directly on your birds ( dust baths), and anything else about "bugs".
Thanks for all info

I use only natural remedies. My chicken pen gets cleaned twice about every month, and the chickens get a lot of fresh greens and bugs spring through fall, so they don't get sick often. The only time I needed to put out my tools was when a few hens got to acting slugish because of worms, which I cured with pepper (yes it does kill worms, it is too hot for them). Another time my chickens had a small case of leg mites, and I just scrubbed their legs with a toothbrush twice over a period of about two weeks. I then put vaseline on them. I have not had any other troubles with bugs, but then I've only had chickens for four years.

Hope it's the same with you!
