I use a 2 gallon and a 5 gallon. It just warms the water to above freezing do it won’t freeze-you should be fine.

What size bucket are you using? Mine is like 2 gallons and i’m afraid it’s going to make the water super hot

I use a small rubber pan... so maybe they hold 2 gallons.

And NO, it doesn't make the water hot.

That is the whole point of the de-icers. They only keep water thawed, not hot.

They have an internal temperature cube.
