when to start

when do i start turning eggs,8 hrs after i put them in or the next day. i'm planing on turning eggs every 8 hrs in 24 hrs. does it matter how precise i am with the egg turning or just make sure to turn three times in 24 hrs

You can turn as often or as little as you want, trust me the hen does not have an alarm clock set for every eight hours. Check a broodies nest, there are times when some eggs dont move for days, and they seem to hatch just fine. There has been some rethinking as to whether turning so often is actually necessarry, but you know human habits are hard to break, so turn away.
