My chicks are 12 weeks..when is the time to switch them to layer? Or..when is the time to start slowly switching them to layer form the starter/grower?
thanks!

I switch around the 17th week by mixing the starter/grower with the layer and by the 19th week all layer feed

They wont lay before then?

Ok. I have some chick/grower left and my chicks are 16 weeks old. I guess the next bag I'm buying is layer. I suppose the rooster can eat it too?

Recycle the shells from the eggs you use as well. Its amazing how many throw the shells away. Let them completely dry, crush them them down, put them back out for the birds.
