When to transplant my onion and pepper starts into a bigger container??

Hi there, I bough a 72 unit Burpee seed start kit. my onions and peppers have been growing in it for two weeks. I want to transfer them into big pots for container gardening, when can I do that? When they're a month old? The peppers are only an inch high now and the onions are about 5 inches high.

You can transplant the peppers once they have their second set of true leaves. I'm not sure how to tell you when to transplant onions. But people do it at different stages. I try to be sure they have at least a couple of leaves as well.

What type of onions did you plan?t. If they are bulb onions, then you want them to be at least an 1/8 of an inch in diameter to make the transplant safely. If they are bunching onions you can transplant them into your container garden now.
The peppers need to be bigger...with several true leaves before they go into bigger growing cells.
