When will I know what I have?

They start out with lots of different mixes of black and gray.

Then in a couple weeks they'll be all black.

I am just so excited to see what all these cool looking little chicks will turn into! Out of our two yellow chicks, one has almost a blue under tone. Excited to see what they turn out to be!

The yellow ones are a bit of a mystery, lots of options. However considering the hatchery you got them from I would wager that at least one is a Red Sexlink pullet.

Looking closer at the little babies, one has feathered legs!
That has to narrow down what he is, right?

Off the top of my head, Cochins and Brahmas have feathered legs. Some Marans do, some don't. I'm sure there are others. It does narrow down the possibilities a lot.
