We got chickens for the first time in April. We had to buy 6 chicks (store policy) so we got 4 yellow ones and two beigish ones. The yellow we were told were guaranteed layers the other two, we took our chances. The beige ones turned out to be buff brahma bantams. Not sure if there is a huge difference in age but one is quite a bit bigger than the other and it's face is really red with the skin growing off on the bottom of its beak. The other smaller one is not as red. Could the bigger one be a rooster? When will I know if it is? We aren't allowed to have roosters where I live so I need to know before we get fined. Any help is greatly appreciated!!
