When will my Bantam start laying?

Hi,
I have had my bantam chicken for 18 weeks or a little more and wondering if my chicken will start laying soon? How long does it (on average) take?

Depends any where from 6-8months.

Mine didn't lay until 30 weeks... But I think that is a bit unusual.

Mine started at 16 weeks but the batch i had a year prior didn't lay until they were about 22 weeks. All were cochin bantams. The ameraucana hens i had didn't start laying until they were about 32 weeks Depends on the breed maybe? I am still learning sooo much after about 2 years of owning chickens.
