When will my barred rocks lay?

They are about 4 1/2 months old now and no eggs yet. When does this breed typically start laying (early? late?). I can't wait!

My girls started laying at 5-6 months... don't remember exactly when but I know it was in that range.

I know what you are feeling.. My 2 girls are only 9 weeks old. I want eggs now!

I bought 2 older hens cause I couldn't wait.

My older babies are about 10 weeks.....I think they should get off their lazy duffs and at least lay jelly beans or something!!!! LOL

Edit to add, I have hens that are of laying age...I just want them ALL laying!!!

mine started laying about 26 weeks . watch for the squat when they start doing the squat you will have eggs shortly

I got 2 day old Barred Rock chicks last april, got Rhode Island Reds in May and they were all laying big brown eggs two weeks before Thanksgiving.
