When will my buff orps eggs get bigger?

I have two buff orp pullets who are just starting to lay in the last couple of weeks or so. The eggs I'm getting are really small, which I understand being that they are just starting. My RIRs never did this - they started with a bang, but the orps keep giving me little bitty eggs for over a week now. They are getting chick starter and also eating the layer feed, and range in the yard most days. Any suggestions? Or should I just be patient?

I felt the same way last year when my BOs started laying. They looked so pitiful in the carton, wobbling around with all that space. Now, they are twice as big, and fill the hole in the extra large carton. I think it took a few months. Yeah, patience.
