When will my chicks warm up to me?

We have six chicks that are about ten days old; 3 BR and 3 RIR. The rocks are quite gregarious. Two of them really enjoyed being held. My girl (Alice) hops up on my hand whenever I put it into the brooder. The RIRs are quite skittish and aloof. They will sit with us when we take them out and walk around on us but if we try to pet them they move usually. They ALL love oats. I crumble oats in my hand and put my hand in the brooder and they peck it all up, walking and hoping all over my hand and arm. really cute.

An update:

The friendliest girl, a BR named Misty, has taken to jumping on the edge of the brooder when I open the lid. Yesterday, Lady the EE queen of the flock or could be a roo, jumped up as well. Misty proceeded to climb on to me, up my arm and hang out on my shoulder and slept on my neck after trying to rip some of my eyelashes out! Ha, I know it was just curiousity but OUCH! Misty will let me pet her and pick her up, etc. When I went to stroke Lady while she was roosting on the edge she screamed bloody murder and flapped back in with the rest of the chicks. Day by day, I suppose!

My update:

My Rhodies are still big chickens but my Delawares will climb into my hand and let me lift them into my lap for treats. Most of my Rhodies still won't even come anywhere near my hand for treats.

Funny, our RIR is the friendliest of the bunch, has been since we first got them at a few days old. I think our EE is going to be alpha-chick fo the flock, she is bold and not afraid of us but I would say she's more curious than friendly. Our SLW is the biggest "chicken" of all of them...she squawks loudly when we pick her up and only comes to me when she sees the other two come to me first. I spend time with them in the mornings and afternoons, so they know me well now. I bring them a tub of fresh soil and weeds from the yard every few days and open their brooder lid to clean out their food dish and stir up their shavings a couple times a day. I also talk to them a lot. I would say they started to be less afraid of me when they were a couple weeks old and had the chance to get to know us better.
