this might sound stupid especially since when I was born, there were over 300 chickens waiting on me to get home from the hospital, but here is my question, I had all my birds in one very large pen this winter, in that pen, I have a trio of pure white americanas, slate leggs and just beautiful birds, I had other roosters as well so I cant be sure or even think that the white hens mated with the white roo alone, so I seperated the trio today but how long will I have to wait till the eggs are purely fertile with the white roo?
