When will my hen go broody?

Hey, quick question. Two of my hens went broody last year and it was really fun but I felt like it was a little too late in the season. I think it would’ve been better if she was broody in the spring. Will she go broody again this year and if she does will it be at the same time of year. I really want them to go broody now because of the good weather and because I will be home for the next couple weeks to check in on her and the chicks. Anyway to encourage them to go broody now. Thanks!

Most chickens the broodiness has been breed out of them. So your chicken may not go broody again, I hope she does for you. If you want a chicken to do that the best one's to get are silkies.

I've had luck with Marans going broody on a regular basis. Good luck
