When will my new Roo man up

He now roosts with the girls too.

Awesome!!! I have 2 cockerels and a pullet that I integrated with my 5 hens. The one cockerel who us very clearly the alpha takes turns roosting with the hens one night, and the two younger birds the next night. Other than choosing to roost separately at night, I have one flock now after having 2 smaller flocks for a few months.

My first roo hid in a nesting box for a week after the girls beat him down into a corner. He figured things out and it was all fine in the end.

I have a group of quail that have a yellow female as their leader. She eats first and fights off the roo and the other female.
