Ive had my 3 pekins and 2 welsh harliquins since may. When should they start laying. When should i start feeding them layer pellets.

Assuming that they were day olds when you got them they could start laying anytime. But with the days getting shorter, I wouldn't expect it for sure until spring. Egg laying is related to day length.

You don't need to give them layer feed until you get the first egg. Whenever that happens, get some layer and transition them to the new feed to avoid intestinal problems. Or just continue feeding whatever you are now and provide crushed oyster shell for calcium.

I have several breeds (Pekin being one of them they are all within about 3 weeks old one of another) and they started around 22 weeks on some...and at 34 weeks I STILL have some not yet laying. It's been a crap shoot for us. We have had 3 begin laying the past couple weeks though.
