when will my rirs start laying they are 9 weeks old

Between 18 and 22 weeks, usually.

if they are early layers you might get as early as 16 weeks but more like after 20 weeks...the wait is excruciating, isn't it...

My older RIRs started laying last December at exactly 20 weeks of age. I have two pullet RIRs that reach 20 weeks old in just four weeks, can't wait.

I have 8 RIRs. 2 of them started laying at 19 weeks. 2 more at 21 weeks, and all were laying by 23 weeks.
