When will my turkey start laying

I have a black turkey she is one year old now and hasn’t started laying yet I got her a Tom in February and she shows no interest in him even though he is always showing off to her I really want her to start laying but I don’t know when she will

It will depend on your location and the individual hen. The amount of daylight hours is what typically starts the hormones flowing and causes mating and egg laying.

It is possible that the hen and the tom are breeding. My current tom prefers to do his breeding the first thing in the morning. It is not uncommon for people to not see their turkeys actually breeding.

There is always the possibility that the hen has an internal problem and may not lay eggs. I had one hen that would breed with the tom on a daily basis. She would sit on the nest for a couple of hours every day but she never laid a single egg. She obviously had something wrong internally preventing her from laying.
