When will new adult welsh harlequins start laying

Hello, we just got a new flock of 4 welsh harlequin hens. They are about a year old, beautiful birds. We have had them about a week and have only gotten 3 eggs out of them total, is there an adjustment period for adult ducks? When can we expect a better egg production rate? They do have quite the personalities

Birds hate change. Moving them to a new home generally causes a break in their laying cycle. Eggs laid initially were already 'in process' when they were moved. Sometimes they will molt and then resume laying or more seasonal layers may not restart until spring.

Thank you for replying, how many eggs do they usually keep in process? Will we get a few more this year do you think?

Generally just one or two. Hopefully someone with more experience with Welsh Harlequins can provide more information on how soon they will resume laying.
